Is modern Israel only part of God’s Promised Land?

Every Friday, we answer a common question related to the end times. Today’s is about the full scope of the land God originally promised to Israel.

Question:

The current nation of Israel is only in part of the land God promised Abraham in Genesis 15:18 (from Egypt to the Euphrates in Iraq). I’ve never heard anyone address this from a Bible prophecy viewpoint. Why is Israel’s home only part of that land? Does Israel have to be in all the land?
