Hibuki Trauma Therapy

Hibuki dolls helped young children give shape to fear, talk about difficult feelings, and begin rebuilding emotional safety.

A therapist helping a child with a huggable therapy doll.

TELEM uses the soft, long-armed Hibuki doll as a therapeutic bridge for young children affected by crisis. By caring for the doll, children can externalize fear and communicate feelings that may be difficult to name directly.

The model also gives parents and caregivers practical language for supporting a child’s recovery and resilience.
