Parallels to the Days of Noah and Lot

There’s a passage of Bible prophecy that has been on my mind recently. This is one in which Jesus is teaching the Pharisees (along with His disciples) about His return and the final, desperate days of humanity. The Pharisees had asked Him when they could expect the arrival of the Kingdom of God.

In answering this question, Jesus paints for them a very interesting picture of what the world will look like right before the Second Coming. He even describes the Rapture. Here is what He says about the topic:
