Beit Halochem means “House of the Warriors.” For Israel’s wounded veterans, its rehabilitation centers become a second home, offering physical rehabilitation, counseling, adaptive sports, and programs for the whole family.

But a rehabilitation center can only help a soldier who can get to it. A veteran using a wheelchair, adjusting to a prosthetic leg, or living with vision loss may be unable to travel to therapy without help.

Our September–October 2026 project with Beit Halochem and IFCJ raised $71,950 toward a specially equipped vehicle for the new center in Ashdod, exceeding our initial $50,000 goal. The vehicle costs $108,000 and includes wheelchair access and room for needed medical equipment.

When it opens, the Ashdod center will serve more than 7,000 wounded veterans and over 15,000 family members in southern Israel. It will also house a national center for the treatment of post-traumatic stress.

Before there can be a seat at the table, there has to be a ride. Thank you for helping bring wounded veterans to the care and community they need.
