Netanyahu Takes Office in Israel Today

After his religious, right-wing party coalition gained a clear election win in November, Benjamin Netanyahu is being sworn in today as prime minister in Israel. This will be his sixth term after having served from 1996 to 1999 and again from 2009 to 2021.

His policies are already being met with criticism, as is the coalition itself, which will make his government one of the most hardline in Israel’s history.
