The Abraham Accords May Be Expanding
According to reports, Israel is working to expand the Abraham Accords to include four new states. These ground-breaking agreements started in 2020, during the Trump administration, and served to normalize Israel’s relationships with nations including the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.
The latest news from Israeli media suggests that Israel is negotiating with additional Muslim countries including Mauritania, Indonesia, Somalia and Niger. U.S. officials in the State Department, including Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, are participating in these negotiations.
