Global Energy Turmoil as Russia Cuts off Gas

On Monday, the state-owned Russian energy company Gazprom announced it would begin restricting the capacity of natural gas flowing through its Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany. The news threw Germany and other European nations into a panic.
