What happens in “the twinkling of an eye”?

Question:

The Bible talks about us being caught up in “the twinkling of an eye,” which obviously means it’s a time that almost can’t be measured. But we also know “the dead in Christ shall rise first.” Can you help me understand how all those things can happen quicker than the twinkling of an eye?
